WHAT: Quandamooka Festival, Redlands and Moreton Bay – a month long celebration of indigenous culture in the region. Check out for whale watching, culture tours, forums and bush tucker dining events

WHAT: Abbey Medieval Festival, Caboolture – it was around way before GOT went bonkers and it is growing bigger every year. There’s a tournament with jousting, ladies wearing pointy hats and veils, vessels with pestles and flagons with dragons and blokes wandering around in chain mail. What’s not to like?
