Annual Redcliffe City Show is sure to be a cracker

Friday is ‘people’s day’ but you have to get the local paper and cut out the coupon to receive the deal, which is children free and adults $2 each (max. 2 adults per coupon)
“A great show with a country spirit and friendly atmosphere,” wrote a visitor to this annual show who posted her review on the show’s Facebook page.
And she’s right. The 69th Annual Redcliffe City Show has those oldies but goldies’ events that make you feel like you’re in the heart of the country or travelling back to the good old days when life was simple and device-free!
All the favourites are there including two nights of wham-bam fireworks on Friday and Saturday and world champion woodchopping on Saturday and Sunday (had to mention this – love it).
Other highlights include the champion dog show, poultry display, horse judging and show jumping, cattle judging, pig racing and stock parade.
In the evening, thrill seekers can get their fill of Motocross and the Trackskill V8 Ute Challenge.
The kids will love the camel rides, animal nursery, puppet show, Luke’s Reptile Kingdom, show bags and good old fashioned rides and sideshow alley games.
There will be live music, an arts and crafts display, an array of food stalls and many more special events during an action-packed three days.
The show has a long history that dates back to 1949 (first year 1959) and family members of its founders are still involved to this day. That is awesome and admirable!
