Explore Scarborough in a whole new way – with our Brum Pedal Car hire!
Scarborough Beach Resort has these gorgeous Brum Pedal Cars available for guest hire. Giving you the opportunity to explore Scarborough in a fun and totally unique way.
They can be used on the road or around the many beautiful bike tracks of our region. The Brum Pedal Cars seat up to 4 adults, and can also hold 1 or 2 children in the front basket.
The pedal cars have 4 wheel drum brakes and steering just like a real car. They have an extra steering wheel to make the passenger feel involved. There are 4 separate pedals that can be engaged to all help the driver get up any hills!
1 hour hire = $25.00
Half Day hire = $35.00

New Rail Line Comes to Redcliffe Peninsula
It is now so much easier to travel to the Redcliffe Peninsula from the Brisbane CBD with a new rail line opened between Petrie and Kippa Ring. You can leave the city and 60 minutes later be on the beautiful sparkling water of Moreton Bay at Scarborough.
The station at Kippa-Ring is located on Hindmarsh Street and is only a 6 minute drive to Scarborough that will make it even more convenient for visitors to the Peninsula.
In addition to the this the new rail service will provide:
- an upgraded Petrie station
- more than 650 new weekly train services
- trains every six to 12 minutes in peak times
- express services all day
During your stay in Scarborough it is worth jumping on the train and visiting the suburb of Petrie that is a wonderful little spot with a village atmosphere and an interesting historic past.
Petrie
In Petrie you can explore and discover the unique history of the region at Old Petrie Town. Here you will find historical buildings, pottery and blacksmiths’ workshops, a fire museum, steam and engine museum, quality speciality shops, handmade gifts and crafts, and a great heritage restaurant.
Set in an original timber building from the 1880s, the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum holds a unique collection of colonial and convict artefacts and provides a largely interactive modern take on local history.
For great shopping Petrie is very close to both Westfield Strathpine and Westfield North Lakes. Both are large shopping complexes with dozens of specialty shops, Big W, Target, Woolworths and Coles, and varied and diverse eateries.
North Lakes
Jump off the train at Mango Hill Station and check out North Lakes. This new outer suburb offers superb shopping with Westfield Shopping Centre, Costco Warehouse, IKEA store as well as both a Bunnings Warehouse and Masters Home Improvement store.
North Lakes also has great sporting facilities with North Lakes Resort Golf Club and North Lakes Aquatic Centre or relax in the sun at Lake Eden.
It is great news for the Redcliffe Peninsula to have this new train service that will open up the area and make it easier for visitors to get out and about in the Moreton Bay region.

While their 1, 2 and 3 Bed apartments have large balconies, are air-conditioned with direct dial phone, Wi-Fi access (15 min free) and free Foxtel. Main bedrooms have Queen size beds and Twin Beds in rooms 2 and 3. For families with teenage children we offer a selection of dual key apartments that will provide much needed privacy and independence.
