Scarborough Cycling Path
A great activity for families with children during your stay at Scarborough is to cycle along the cycling paths around the tip of the Redcliffe Peninsula from Scarborough to Newport. The 8km return trip takes you through cotton tree and Casuarina lined parks to the canals of Newport.
The ride starts at Pirate Park and nestles the headland for 4km one way, taking in the Bee Gees house and tiny pocket parks before emerging at the Scarborough Boat Harbour. The cycling trip is reasonably flat and provides you with spectacular views across Deception Bay and distant glimpses of the Glass House Mountains.
