Bee Gees Way

In 1958 the Gibb brothers played their first gig at the Redcliffe speedway and it was on their kitchen table in Scarborough that they signed their first music contract.

In 2013, Barry Gibb and the Moreton Bay Regional Council unveiled ‘Bee Gees Way.’ Located between Redcliffe Parade and Sutton Street, Bee Gees Way is a 50 metre laneway showcasing more than 60 pictures and 13 album covers, the laneway is divided into five phases celebrating the career of the Bee Gees. A 1.7m bronze statue of the Gibbs brothers, as boys, with a backdrop of 37 song titles is one of the main features of Bee Gees Way.

You can also view Bee Gees memorabilia, including a recollection of their childhood on the peninsula that was penned by Barry Gibb, at the Redcliffe Museum … or take a stroll past their childhood home in Scarborough!
