Queen’s Baton Relay travels to Redcliffe

WHAT: Queen’s Baton Relay on its journey to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC 2018)
WHEN: Friday, March 30, 2018 (get there early)
WHERE: Redcliffe

The Queen’s Baton Relay is set to hit Redcliffe on Day 95 of its 100-day journey around Australia to its final destination – the April 4 Opening Ceremony of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) at Carrara Stadium.

In total, the Queen’s Baton Relay will have travelled through 69 nations in a 388-day marathon that takes in one third of the world’s population.

It’s enough to make your eyes pop!

The Queen’s Baton’s arrival in Redcliffe happily coincides with The Easter Long Weekend and annual Redcliffe Festival of Sails.

This momentous occasion is going to be one to remember but you’ll want to arrive early to witness the bespoke Queen’s Baton as it is held aloft by several local heroes.

If you’ve got kids, in the years to come they will thank you for getting them up early to cheer on our local heroes.

These special moments will linger in their memories. Guaranteed.

There are absolutely no excuses for those of you who are kids-free!

Get to it and and support those humble local legends who work behind the scenes to make our world a better place.
