Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Beatlegs at Redcliffe Cultural Centre

WHO: The “ultimate Beatles tribute band”, The Beatlegs have been playing the music of arguably the world’s most famous group since 2008
WHEN: Saturday, June 23, 2018
TIME: 7.30pm
WHERE: Redcliffe Cultural Centre, Downs St, Redcliffe
COST: $35

For fans of the Fab Four, a trip down memory lane delivered by this seasoned tribute band is one to lock into the diary right now.

Even if you’re not a huge Beatles fan, you will be totally knocked out by the highly polished performance of The Beatlegs.

Forming in 2008, the members got together because of their passion for the music produced by the greatest band in the history of rock and roll.

If you think this is stretching the truth, consider these fun facts:

From 1962-1970, the Beatles had 17 number 1 hits in the UK Top 10.

In 1963, the album Please Please Me spent 52 weeks in the Official Albums Chart Top 10 while in 1967 Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band lasted 52 weeks.

Other Beatles trivia: Depsite its enduring popularity Yesterday never made the number 1 spot and wasn’t even released as a single until well after the band’s demise in 1976.

However, this beautiful song might hold another record – about 24 cover versions have been recorded and we’re still counting.

And this will have you longing for the good old days – on December 30, 1967, the Billboard Hot 100 Chart featured the following from 1st to 4th spots: The Beatles Hello Goodbye; Gladys Knight and The Pips I Heard It Through The Grapevine; The Monkees Day Dream Believer; Smokey Robinson and The Miracles I Second That Emotion.

During their marathon three hour show (with an interval) at Redcliffe Cultural Centre, The Beatlegs will perform hit after hit including songs from Sgt Peppers and the final rooftop concert in 1969 that featured classics including Get Back and I’ve got a Feeling.

The Beatlegs are Queensland’s only Beatles tribute show, demonstrating their own musical talent and passion for the enduring music of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
