Older & Bolder Program Moreton Bay
Moreton Bay Regional Council is running the Older & Bolder program from Tuesday 1 September to Sunday 29 November 2015 for residents in the Moreton Bay region aged 50 years and over.
As people grow older, an active lifestyle is more important than ever. Regular activity can help boost energy, maintain independence and is great for the mind, mood and memory. Older & Bolder gives individuals looking to stay active and healthy an opportunity to experience, adventurous, cultural and passive activities in a social environment.

- Learn to Sail at Moreton Bay Boat Club, Scarborough on 24 & 30 September, 17 October & 21 & 28 November

Scarborough Sounds
The Scarborough Foreshore will be the perfect backdrop for the inaugural Scarborough Sounds event, as part of the Redcliffe Festival on Father’s Day afternoon, Sunday 6 September.
The concert will be headlined by DeepBlue Orchestra and supported by local superstar Atilla Sautov.
Patrons are encouraged to bring along a picnic and blanket, enjoy some wine and cheese and the entertainment on offer.
Scarborough Sounds starts at 5pm to 8pm and is a FREE event.

Scarborough Boat Hire
Hire a boat for the day and explore the magnificent Moreton Bay. Boab Boat Hire offers top quality self drive hire boats and are the only hire boats in Brisbane that you can take off shore with a normal boat licence.
You can take their boats outside Moreton Bay and up to 5 Nautical Miles (just under 10km) offshore. Destinations like Tangalooma and Moreton Island for a spot of fishing, snorkelling or swimming.
Choose from the 5.7 meter 135hp Sports Rider, or the 5.0 meter 75hp Kimberley with optional Minn Kota electric. Both models are excellent fishing boats as well as being capable of watersports such as tubing, wake-boarding and skiing.
They take care of the hard stuff by looking after the launch and retrieve, washing, towing and refuelling the vessel or you may tow boats away yourself.

Scarborough Beach Resort offers quality and comfortable apartment style accommodation with a choice of studio rooms and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom fully self-contained apartments.
Their studio rooms have queen size beds, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, direct dial phone, walk in robe, safe and are perfect for the corporate traveller that is on the move.
While their 1, 2 and 3 Bed apartments have large balconies, are air-conditioned with direct dial phone, Wi-Fi access (charges apply) and free Foxtel. Main bedrooms have Queen size beds and Twin Beds in rooms 2 and 3. For families with teenage children we offer a selection of dual key apartments that will provide much needed privacy and independence.

Velocity Trampoline Park
Please note that Velocity Trampoline Park is currently closed, we will keep you updated about any further announcements.
Where jumping off the walls is not only allowed, but encouraged! Velocity Park at North Lakes is a great place to bring the entire family.
Velocity Park has over 1800 sq metres of trampolines, a trampoline dodgeball court, slam ball, a rock climbing wall and special tramps for flipping out into a soft, safe foam pit.
General admission sessions commence every hour on the hour. Weekdays Mon-Thu 12.00 to 8.00pm Fri 12.00pm to 9pm Weekends Sat 9.00am to 9.00pm Sun 9.00am to 6.00pm.
A one hour jumps session costs $15.50 (additional hour $12.00) Children (3-5 years) $10.50
